The Office of the Northern Medical Health Officers for the Saskatchewan Health Authority and the Northern Inter-Tribal Health Authority have declared the outbreak of COVID-19 in Beauval, Sask. as over.

On May 1 an outbreak was declared after a number of new cases were identified in the Beauval area.

As of today there are no active cases in the community and there is no evidence of community transmission, so the Medical Health Officers have declared an end to the outbreak.

COVID-19 is still present in Saskatchewan, however. Take precautions to protect yourself, your families and everyone who lives in the community.

Physical distancing is something that everyone needs to be doing all the time, every time, to reduce the spread of COVID-19, reads a press statement from the health authorities.

It is also important for everyone to follow the guidelines for hand washing, social distancing and self-isolating shared by provincial and municipal governments to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus and protect our most vulnerable populations, the release continues.
