“We grew up in white homes, speaking only English and with no connection to our people or our culture. Though we were loved, we were outsiders in families that had grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins that were not ours,” said Betty Ann Adam.

This is a thought provoking film which launches a new fundraising campaign to help the Indigenous Perspectives Society support capacity building training to underfunded communities and organizations.

“We have communities and organizations throughout BC and across Canada that cannot afford the training they need,” said IPS associate director Rachelle Dallaire.

“We get a lot of requests from frontline service providers and communities wanting to make positive changes, but they do not have the budget to support their learning needs. Our motto is creating excellence through training and leadership, and that is exactly what we hope to do with the funds generated from this campaign.”
