There is a risk to people, property and infrastructure.

Because of overland flooding from rapid snowfall melt, the Siksika Nation has declared a State of Local Emergency.

Lead of the Siksika Emergency Management Team is Stewart Breaker.

Siksika Nation is working to mitigate rising waters that are causing flooding of homes and property. Local roads have been washed out, hindering emergency vehicles and school buses.
