Seven casino properties operated by SIGA (Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority) are set to re-open to the public on July 9 at 6 p.m.
The process of the re-opening see a reduced capacity to start to ensure adherence to public health guidelines, reads a statement.
SIGA casinos will offer select gaming and food service during the initial phase, and then will gradually start to enhance services based on demand.
“We’re very excited to be able to welcome back our valued guests with our unique brand of First Nation hospitality to our casinos across the province,” said Zane Hansen, SIGA president and CEO.
“We’ve been working very hard to ensure our facilities are safe for our team members and guests. Their health and safety and that of our broader communities remains our top priority.”
The SIGA release says the casinos are operated in a highly regulated industry and, even before COVID-19, the company’s cleaning and safety protocols were of the highest standards.
SIGA has released a health and safety plan to enhance those standards enhanced, including increased frequency of cleaning and sanitation throughout its properties while managing physical distancing practices.
SIGA will also be taking steps to support contact tracing for a period of time. Guests will be required to check-in prior to entering the casinos with a guest’s Players Club card or by providing a name and contact number. All visitors will undergo a simple screening process prior to entering the casino.

Operating Hours
On July 9 only, the casinos will not open until 6 p.m. Otherwise, the operating hours for each SIGA casino will be as follows until further notice:
Bear Claw Casino & Hotel (note: the hotel is not opening at this time): 10 a.m. to 2 a.m.
Living Sky Casino: 12 p.m. to 12 a.m.
Gold Eagle Casino: 10 a.m. to 2 a.m.
Gold Horse Casino: 12 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Painted Hand Casino: 10 a.m. to 2 a.m.
Dakota Dunes Casino: 10 a.m. to 2 a.m.
Northern Lights Casino: 10 a.m. to 2 a.m.
