Gaylord Powless was inducted into the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame on Nov. 9 in Calgary. Ontario Regional Chief Isadore Day congratulated the Powless family and community of Six Nations on the occasion.
Powless played lacrosse from the 1060 to 1980s. Lacrosse is known as ‘the Creator’s Game’, reads a press statements from the Chiefs of Ontario, and is a gift from the Creator for his enjoyment and as a medicine game for healing the people.
