Michael Greyeyes joins Ed Helms in new television comedy

Actor Michael Greyeyes has been named to the cast of Rutherford Falls, a television comedy set in a small town in upstate New York that borders a Native American reservation. The news was reported by Deadline.com. The show is scheduled to shoot in the coming weeks.

The show has been in the works since 2017, reads an earlier report on Deadline. Ed Helms plays Nathan Rutherford, who fights the moving of a historical statue. The show was co-created/executive produced by Helms, Michael Schur and Sierra Teller Ornelas.

Greyeyes plays Terry Tarbell. CEO of his tribe’s casino. He joins Jan Schmeiding, Jesse Leigh and Dustin Milligan of Schitt’s Creek in the cast. Milligan will play Josh Cogan, a reporter/podcaster. The show has also hired five Native writers.

It is produced by Universal Television, in association with Fremulon, 3 Arts Entertainment and Pacific Electric Picture Company.
