Michael Greyeyes is among a new cohort that will be inducted into the Dance Collection Danse Hall of Fame. The list of inductees was announced Nov. 14 in Toronto.

The Hall of Fame event will take place March 29, 2020 at the Globe and Mail Centre in Toronto. It’s the third year for the dance hall of fame initiative.

Greyeyes is also an actor, choreographer and director. His father was from Muskeg Lake First Nation and his mother from Sweetgrass First Nations. He is a graduate of The National Ballet School. And he worked in New York City with the company of choreographer Eliot Feld. Greyeyes’ acting career began when he was cast in Geronimo in 1993.

“This year’s group of inductees represents some of our most accomplished dance artists who have truly changed the landscape of the art form in Canada,” said Amy Bowring, DCD’s executive and curatorial director for Dance Collection Danse.
