Littlechild named a director for provincial foundation

Ruby Littlechild has been appointed by Culture and Tourism Minister Ricardo Miranda as a director of the Alberta Historical Resources Foundation under the Historical Resources Act.

She is joined by Dr. Shabnam Inanloo Dailoo, Bill Kells, Dr. Jan Olson and Evert Poor.

As well, Aimee Benoit and Michael Dougherty had their terms as directors of the foundation extended and Benoit was named vice-chair.

The appointments were made through an Order in Council on Jan. 18. Terms begin April 1, 2017, and expire Jan. 10, 2020.

The Alberta Historical Resources Foundation promotes public awareness of Alberta’s heritage and provides funding to organizations that deliver programs and services that document, preserve and present the province's heritage.
