First degree murder charges laid in death of Lindsay Marie Jackson

Two arrests have been made in the death of 25-year-old Lindsay Jackson. Lindsay had been missing since Sept. 22, 2018. Her body was recovered in the North Saskatchewan River on Oct. 3 near Brosseau, Alta.

An autopsy was conducted at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner on Oct. 4. The investigation determined that Lindsay’s death was a homicide.

Jena Lynn Hunter (26) of Edmonton, and Jermaine Eugene Steinhauer (23) of Edmonton were arrested and charged with first degree murder.

Both suspects have been remanded into custody for a court appearance on Dec. 20 at St. Paul Provincial Court.
