APTN and Rogers Sportsnet have inked a three-year deal to broadcast NHL games in Plains Cree, starting on Jan. 19 when the Winnipeg Jets visit the Chicago Blackhawks and again on Feb. 9 when the two teams meet in Winnipeg.

The details of four other games will be announced later this week.

Earlier this year, APTN broadcast the first nationally televised game in Plains Cree between the Montreal Canadiens and Carolina Hurricanes with announcer Clarence Iron, host Earl Wood and analyst John Chabot.
