The Snotty Nose Rez Kids — Darren "Young D" Metz and Quinton "Yung Trybez" Nyce — and DJ Kookum are on their Trapline Tour and made their debut performance in Edmonton at 9910 Wednesday night.
They were fresh from the UK, the first leg of the tour. Edmonton was their second stop.
The Rez Kids, a hip-hop duo from the Haisla Nation in B.C., challenge the stereotypes that present Indigenous people as “untamed, ill-mannered and vulgar savages” reads their website https://snottynoserezkids.com/

They appeared in Edmonton May 22 with support from DJ Creeasian, and from Calgary Drezus and DMC Champ DJ Infamous Ray.
Snotty Nose Rez Kids perform in Halifax tonight, and St. John’s on Saturday. Then they cross the country to Vancouver for May 30. Then Kitimat, Victoria and back East to Toronto in mid-June.
