Child and Youth Care Worker (CCW/CYW) Diploma, Social Service Worker (SSW) Diploma, Social Service Worker - Gerontology Diploma, Community Support Worker (CSW) Diploma, Human Services Diploma, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate, Cultural Awareness Training, Medication Administration Certificate, First Aid Certificate


3 years to less than 5 years

Specific Skills:

Obtain information and prepare reports or case histories, Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services, Implement life skills workshops, Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs, Conduct follow-up assessments, Develop, coordinate and implement the delivery of specific services within the community, Provide suicide and crisis intervention, Resolve conflict situations, Supervise children's visits with parents to ensure their safety, Implement behavior management programs, Conduct individual and group counseling sessions, Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients, Develop service intervention logic models and outcome measures, Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs
