We are seeking a UI/UX Designer who will play a key role in Animikii’s products and
client-services work. You will be responsible for researching & evaluating user
requirements while delivering an outstanding user experience through functional and
beautiful designs. You will work to bridge the gap between product design and technical
implementation by taking an active role in defining how our projects function as well as
how they look.



  • User experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design for software projects & products.
  • Synthesization of your user research into technical product documentation, including user personas & stories.
  • Design user flow diagrams, process maps, mock-ups & wireframes with a focus on user-centered design.
  • Design high-fidelity, production-ready designs using design tools such as Adobe XD, Figma or Sketch.
  • Collaborate with and support front-end software developers in the implementation of your designs to ensure the technical feasibility of your UI/UX designs and accuracy of final implementation.
  • Work with product managers to evaluate the effectiveness of our product design solutions that achieve our user-centered and accessibility goals.
  • Participate and support Animikii’s pathfinding process with internal products and external client projects through UI/UX design and helping write our pathfinding reports.
  • Provide direct support to the software development leadership team as the company expands its software development services and products.
  • Support our giving-back program through pro-bono time, volunteering, workshop delivery, Impact Circle roles and other social impact initiatives that are important to the team.

  • Someone who has a record of successfully contributing to the design of software products and its features?
  • Experienced in a client service or software product team (4+ years)?

Bonus Points:

  •  A portfolio that includes your UI/UX thought process and shows final, high-fidelity, implementation of your designs.
  • Ability and willingness to lead and facilitate discussions relating to user experience with the Animikii team, our customers, or our partners.
  • Familiarity with any programming language or the ability to implement your designs in HTML/CSS/JS.
  • Degree, diploma or certificate in fine arts, design, computer science, software engineering, or business
