EXPERIENCE NORTH AMERICA'S BIGGEST POWWOW!
The Gathering of Nations (GON) Pow Wow is Friday & Saturday, April 26 & 27, 2019. It will be held on the Pow Wow Grounds at Tingley Coliseum/Expo NM. Competition Native American Singing and Dancing, featuring over 3,000 participants from various Tribes across North America. GON includes Stage 49 (Contemporary Music/Performance stage), Indian Traders' Market (over 400 Arts & Crafts vendors), Native Food Court and more...IT IS A RAIN OR SHINE EVENT.
THIS IS AN ALL AGES EVENT AND THE PUBLIC IS INVITED! COME AND EXPERIENCE THE MAGIC OF THE GATHERING!
- Powwow
- Specials: Dr. Lita's Long Hair Contest (4 Categories); Father & Son-All Categories (Non-Team Dance); Women's Short Fringe Buckskin (ages 13+).
- Miss Indian World
- The Miss Indian World Pageant takes place annually at the world's largest Native American powwow, Gathering of Nations, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Its purpose is to give young Native American women an opportunity to showcase their tribes and cultures; while serving as a cultural Ambassador of Native Americans by demonstrating the pride and continuance of the diverse cultures of Native people. This program is about Native American culture and positive imaging for the young ladies who compete for the title.

- Indian Traders Market
- The Indian Traders Market offers a very special shopping experience and exhibition of Native artifacts from throughout the Americas that feature over 800+ artists, crafters and traders from around the world.
- Stage 49
- 2 days of Contemporary and Traditional Native American music and entertainment will be highlighted on Stage 49. Native musicians will perform in all Genres of music: Country, Pop, Reggae, World, Rhythm and Blues, Hip-Hop, Rock ‘n’ Roll, Rap, Traditional Native American Performance and much, much more.
